Larry Doby was the second black man chosen to play in the MLB. He was also the first black man to win a World Series in 1948 with the Cleveland Indians. The last World Series for that franchise. The slugger is represented in all his glory in this framed 16" x 20" mixed media artwork on canvas. This painting along with all of my Negro League mixed media artworks have been shown at The Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, have toured California as part of exhibitions shown in the California Library system and this artwork was featured on the cover of "BlackBall" Baseball Journal.
